HR Services/Operations Director (Remote - US Market)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Services Director to lead and manage our human resources functions for a distinguished defense manufacturing company, specializing in naval warships and aerospace components. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from the US while providing crucial HR leadership to our international operations.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in HR management within the defense industry, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and experience working in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s business goals and operational needs in the defense manufacturing sector.

  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development processes to ensure the attraction and retention of top-tier talent for both local and expatriate positions.

  • Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee issues and disputes, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide guidance on local labor laws and cultural practices to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

  • Compensation & Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation structures and benefits packages that cater to the needs of the workforce while aligning with industry standards and company policies.

  • Performance Management: Implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development.

  • HR Policies & Procedures: Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with Saudi Arabian regulations and international best practices.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Navigate cultural differences and ensure that HR practices are adapted to the local context in Saudi Arabia while maintaining alignment with global company standards.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and data to track the effectiveness of HR initiatives and report on key performance indicators to senior management.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international labor laws, regulations, and standards, including those specific to the defense sector.

  • Remote Collaboration: Work effectively with the in-country HR team and other departments remotely, using digital tools and communication platforms to ensure seamless coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, HRCI) preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR management role within the defense manufacturing industry. Experience working in or with Saudi Arabia or similar international environments is highly desirable.

  • Skills: - Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies in a complex, multinational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Defense labor laws, regulations, and cultural nuances.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in HR management systems and digital communication tools.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Attributes: - High degree of cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage remote teams effectively. Additional Information:

Employment Type: Full-Time (Remote)

  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to Global locations as needed.
